A Foundation for the future.
Community prospers when we take care of each other. Our foundation is designed to support – and celebrate – organizations doing amazing work in their communities. We believe in contributing to intentional and transformational efforts that make our world better.
Our Purpose
We invest in the communities we live and work in by supporting non-profit efforts that cultivate future STEAM leaders, champion environmental stewardship, and care for the basic human needs of our neighbors.
Our story
The Mead & Hunt Foundation emerged in 2026 as a natural extension of the firm’s century-long commitment to ethical engineering, community service, and people-first values. Rooted in the legacy of founder Daniel W. Mead, who championed engineering ethics and public good as early as 1900, the Foundation was envisioned as a formal vehicle to amplify the company’s philanthropic impact.
How we operate
The Foundation offers an annual grant program, with a mid-year application window and grants awarded by year-end. In addition, the Mead & Hunt Foundation Board of Directors may choose to provide general financial support to other mission-aligned organizations on a case-by-case basis.
